Dimapur, Sep. 2 (EMN): The youth department of Zunheboto Town Sumi Baptist Church (ZTSBC) SBAK-Aizuto organised a special inter-tribal fellowship under the theme “Unity in cultural Diversity” on August 31.

The programme was attended by different tribes, including Ao, Lotha, Manipuri, Nepali and Angami among others; and churches like Sumi Baptist Church Zunheboto Nito Mount, Catholic Church and NCRC, stated a press release issued by the media supervisor of ZTSBC.

While presenting the keynote address, ZTSBC youth leader Aketo Yeptho welcomed and thanked Peter Lichamo, Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto for attending the fellowship.

Lichamo told the gathering of more than one thousand people from various faiths and communities that “all of us here must be united and live together; if we are united we can uphold ourselves,” informed the update.

“God has blessed us so (with) many things and we cannot count His blessings, and so we must thank God for everything He has given us. He has gifted all of us with different skills and talents and we must make good use of it,” he was quoted as saying.

He also said ‘if we make a person happy then we have done the best work as making others happy makes God happy, also and we gain more blessing.” He expressed his wish that the people stay united in the future too.

The Nepali Baptist Church presented a folk dance during the event, while Ao Baptist Church, Lotha Baptist Church, Tenyimi Baptist Church and ZTSBC Youth showcased cultural activities practised by their respective tribes
