Stating that economic development is an indication of progressive society, Member of Legislative Assembly S Hukavi Zhimomi has urged the people of Zunheboto range to be enterprising and do something worthwhile to take the society forward.Hukavi Zhimomi said this while addressing the annual session of Zunheboto Tokukujomi Kuqhakulu Dimapur (ZTKD) on November 23 at NE Agri Expo Site, Dimapur, as chief guest. Hukavi said ZTKD has a great role to play in propagating the spirit of unity among the people besides striving to take the society forward in all aspects.
While pointing out that economic development plays vital role in the progress of the society and lack of economic development leads to failure in everything, he urged the people of Zunheboto range to be more enterprising. He has also advised the people to put in united effort to do something worthwhile to take the society forward. Further, the chief guest reminded them value the virtues sincerity, hardworking and honesty to achieve success in life.
Ahovi Jekha, Joint Director of Agriculture, has also exhorted the gathering and said such occasion provide opportunity not only for people to come together to unite but to know one another.
S Kivikhu Achumi, president ZTKD, delivered presidential speech. He said it is the responsibility of all to play an active role to take the community forward.
Asukhomi Union Dimapur and Lizumi Union Dimapur enlightened the gathering with cultural songs. Lini K Jakhalu also enthralled the gathering with a special number. Traditional method of fire making competition was also displayed during the day.
New office bearers for the next tenure were also elected. Vishiho Shohe, secretary, Christian Education Department, WSBAK pronounced a prayer for the new office bearers.
