The Zeliang Students’ Union, Kohima in particular and the native indigenous Zeliang people of Nagaland in general are not appalled nor caught off guard at detecting yet another incident that normally can be considered surprising at the recurrence of identity fraudulence blatantly practiced particularly by the Rongmei and the Non-indigenous Zeliang candidates in trying to secure job under the Government of Nagaland course-plotting the unsuspecting NPSC leading audaciously to availing the Backward Tribe Quota reservation provision entitled only for the indigenous Zeliang tribe of Nagaland by deliberately furnishing documents deceitfully obtained. This has been the modus operandi in the likeness of the Camel pushing the Arab out of the tent – an unabashed behaviour indeed, needed to be corrected but obvious is the fact that greed always get the better of the conscience and just mind of the perpetrators in doing these abominable acts. But what glory assumed achieved by this type of unscrupulous folks are going to be short lived as in the case of the first instance where one Sachui Kamei, a Rongmei candidate bearing Roll No. 1831 in the recruitment of LDA-Cum-Computer Assistant (District) under the department of Social Welfare, Nagaland was selected on a falsely claimed Zeliang identity but ultimately made to bite the dust when his result was nullified and all his false documents were deemed cancelled for the foul played on the intervention of the Zeliang Students’ Union, Kohima and the indigenous Zeliang people of Nagaland.
In this earnestness on point, even this time around the attention of the Zeliang Students’ Union, Kohima in particular and the native indigenous Zeliang people of Nagaland in general have been drawn on the recent CTE-2013 result declared by the NPSC vide Notification NO.NPSC/C-5/2012 Dated Kohima, the 11th August, 2014 wherein one PAUSUIPEULE GANGMEI (Rongmei) bearing Roll No. 3314 has been declared selected for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) (Cl-II Gazetted) under PHED through Zeliang Backward Tribe Quota reservation’s provision even when the candidate is not from the Zeliang Tribe but the Rongmei tribe and by all evidences GANGMEI is a surname of only a Rongmei tribe. Besides the instance of PAUSUIPEULE GANGMEI (Rongmei) bearing Roll No. 3314 there are a couple more cases contained in the same notification doubtful to be Non-indigenous Zeliang candidates being recommended under the Zeliang Backward Tribe Quota reservation’s provision. To this effect a preliminary complaint has already been registered in the avenue concerned.
The Zeliang Students’ Union, Kohima is also thankful to the authority of NPSC for the ever ready and accommodative outlook in allowing space and time all these while to the indigenous Zeliang People’s Organisation for an intensive investigation on the individual cases through independent scrutiny of personal documents to substantiate ground of establishing the authenticity of indigenous Zeliang identity of the candidates and that the recommendations under scan be held up until such time admissible conclusions are arrived.
