‘ZIP’ breaking the sound barrier
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 17
ZIP Sound System, an in-house audio production system, was launched on Tuesday at Aoyimti village in Dimapur by the director of Music Task Force, Gugs Chishi. ZIP Sound, a branch of ZIP Engineering and Innovation Center is owned by Lanu Jamir.“Most of our people totally rely on imported sound systems because of the fact that we don’t manufacture high end sound systems in India. This leads to exorbitant rate for any imported systems, only affordable to some select few.
“With the view that we should enjoy world class quality at a low price, I had embarked upon in designing speakers that should fulfill the benchmark of high quality, light weight, small size and low cost,” Jamir said.
The system is designed in such a way that it will produce minimum distortion, maintaining the sound quality undisturbed in its best mode, he said.
“The technology behind achieving this distinct and world class sound comprises one of the rarest, strongest magnets called Neo Demium. One of the methods of failure in a system making it defunct is caused through heating effect. The more the system runs, the higher is the heat produced which can burn down any coil inside the system.
“A normal copper wire used by Indian companies can withstand only up to 100 degree Celsius, however ZIP Sound system remedies it by fitting in a more durable coil known as copper coated aluminum which can withstand 350 degree Celsius thereby making the system sturdier, more durable with much higher performances compared to ordinary coil,” Jamir explained.
The system is also incorporated with “one of the latest and most advanced amp” known as Class D amp. It filters unwanted distortion and helps produce better sound with much less power consumption, Jamir said.
ZIP Sound can manufacture speakers in the range of 100 watts to 2000 watts. Custom designs cab also be build as per the clients’ requirement and also cost 30% less.
