Dimapur, May 6 (EMN): The Zion hospital and Research Centre in Dimapur has announced that it will start catering to patients from May 9 after it was sealed following news of a person from Nagaland being positive for Covid-19.
An administrator from the hospital informed Eastern Mirror that the hospital authority has been fumigating and cleaning the entire hospital in a phase-wise manner.
"We will open on May 9 after every precautionary steps in terms of fumigating and cleaning have been taken," said the administrator. It was informed that the first floor, which was sealed after the first case was detected, has been thoroughly fumigated. After the final cleaning on May 6, the hospital is prepared to take in patients, the administrator said.
Further, the administrator informed that the doctors and nurses who have undergone home quarantine will resume work as the quarantine period is over.
"The doctors and nurses were under observation for two weeks at the quarantine centre; and now after being home quarantined for 14 days no cases has been detected," informed the administrator.
