Zhavame church organises ‘father’s camp’

[caption id="attachment_276060" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Fathers from Zhavema village pose for a photograph during the father’s camp held from October 4 to the 7th at Zion Prayer Centre, Sechü, Zubza.[/caption] Dimapur, Oct. 9 (EMN): Zhavame Baptist Town Dwellers conducted a father’s camp from October 4 to the 7th on the theme “A Godly Father.” The camp was sponsored by the Zhavame Baptist Church and was held at Zion Prayer Centre, Sechü, Zubza. This was the first camp held for the town dwellers, and a total of 95 fathers from Phek, Pfütsero, Dimapur, and Kohima took part in the programme. Speakers for the camp were Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, senior pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill, Kohima; Rev. Dr. Ciekroveyi Cho-o, associate professor of Oriental Theological Seminary, Bade, Dimapur; and Rev. Akha Shupao, pastor of Zhavame Baptist Church. The speakers spoke on various topics such as “A father is an image of God,” “Family economy and management,” “Father’s role in the family,” “A Godly father,” “Effective parenting,” and “A changed father.” A Bible study was led by Rakodu Nukhu, church secretary of Chakhesang Baptist Church, Ministers’ Hill, Kohima.
