DIMAPUR — The monthly Chümoukedima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at the DC’s conference hall on Monday.

Advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio and ADC Chümoukedima, Dr. Kuzonyi Wideo, presided over the meeting, a DIPR report stated.

In his address, Zhaleo Rio emphasised the importance of collective effort towards departmental targets and individual contributions for community welfare. Rio suggested that all departments formulate a yearly action plan for village activities and schemes.

Highlighting Nagaland’s burgeoning landscape of associations and unions, he urged authorities to ensure the authenticity of society registrations and upgrades. The advisor also stressed the necessity for personal verification and visits to locations.

He further underscored attendance at the monthly DPDB meeting as crucial for collective action planning for community welfare.

The meeting reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting. The upgrade of GMS Kukidolong village received approval for recommendation. However, the registration of the Two Wheeler Taxi Association was deferred for further consultation. Changing the nomenclature of Highland Hall Higher Secondary School and GMS Kozabe village also received approval.
