Zhadima youth organises seminar

Dimapur, Aug. 25 (EMN): Zhadima Village Youth and Sports’ Organisation (ZVYSO) organised a day-long seminar on August 24 at the Zhadima community hall which was attended by all sections of the village community.

Chaired by Thepfulie Theünuo, the first session began with a prayer by Thepfukuolie, pastor of New Life AG Church, Zhadi-II, while ZVYSO vice president, Ruokuongulie, delivered the introductory note.

VDB secretary Roko Angami, who spoke on ‘Unity,’ emphasised on the power of unity saying that the sense of oneness must come from the heart and not from the mind. He urged the citizens to lift and support one another in every field by giving constructive criticisms.

Zakenei Khoubve, president of Zhadima Gazetted Officers Krotho (ZGOK), who spoke on the topic “Competition,” urged on the need for healthy competition in all spheres ranging from academics to business. In the pursuit to promote local products, he urged the farming community of the village to commercialise the local and organic products at a larger scale.

In the second session, chairman of Zhadima village council (ZVC) Kesovilhou Chüpuo, who spoke on “Identity,” shared about the history of the village and the transformation from the headhunting age to the modern era. He strongly urged the community to preserve and protect its oral history for generations to the know about its origin and identity.

Speaking on the topic “Excellence,” ZVYSO president, Vizosielie Khoubve called upon the young minds to come out of the box and excel in their respective fields. Stressing on the need to follow their passion, he stated that one’s weakness should not be a barrier towards excellence. Highlighting on various avenues for employment, he encouraged the youth to look for opportunities and avail them.

The seminar concluded after short speeches by four village elders namely Thepfurio Miario, Neiyalie Pfüsenuo, Sabeilhou Kuotsu and Tseilie Sanchu.
