ZesTA conducts colour belt promotion ceremony
Kohima: Zest Taekwondo Academy (ZesTA) affiliated to Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA) conducted its colour belt promotion ceremony on May 20 at New Market in Kohima.
The belt-binding event was conducted by Thejasetuo Keretsii (black belt 6th DAN and international taekwondo referee) and Sunil Rai (black belt 3rd DAN and senior taekwondo instructor).
Altogether 24 students were given colour belt promotion in different grades.
The visiting faculty also gave away prizes to the students for various categories while Shokentsinlo Semp, Thejaneituo Kuotsu and Japisa Bio were adjudged the best group in the Poornsae category while Anmol was adjudged the best student award.
The event was chaired by Neitho Kuotsu (black belt 1st DAN and managing director, ZesTA), while students displayed various taekwondo skills and sparring techniques.
Earlier, the colour belt promotion test was conducted by Moon Thapa (black belt 5th DAN and international taekwondo referee efer.) and Niky Khezhie (black belt 3rd DAN) under rules and regulation of NTA and guided by World Taekwondo (Kukkiwon) at the same venue on the May 1.
It was informed that ZesTA, which was inaugurated during January 2022, is said to have become one of the best taekwondo academies in the state capital with all necessary taekwondo equipment and gears including the installation of world taekwondo certified taekwondo mat; biometric attendance and CCTV for monitoring the safety and activity of young children.
