Tenyimi Youth Organisation Dimapur supports 10-day ultimatum served to Nagaland government

Dimapur, April 3 (EMN): Zeliangrong Civil Organisations (ZCOs) have National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the March 22 incident in Lamhainamdi village to ensure impartial, speedy and effective investigation and deliver justice.

An update from media and publicity cell of ZCOs has informed that this was decided at an emergency meeting of leaders from various Zeliangrong civil societies and organisations from Assam, Manipur and Nagaland states held at Peren district on March 30 to discuss the incident where three persons were killed by unidentified armed miscreants.

The meeting was convened by Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland).

While condemning the killings, the House took a serious note of the lack of will on the part of the governments of India and Nagaland in arresting the culprits even after more than 10 days after the incident. It said letting the ‘killers roam freely’ is a glaring sign of inability and lack of commitment from the part of the governments on the matter.

The ZCOs went on to seek intervention from the government of India, saying that the degree of crime perpetrated was intolerable.

Meanwhile, the Tenyimi Youth Organisation Dimapur also informed through a press release that it supports the 10-day ultimatum served to the state government by the Zeliang Baudi Nagaland and Nagaland Zeliang People Organisation on March 31 and appealed to the government to book the perpetrators without further delay.
