Dimapur — The deputy chief minister and in-charge of Planning and National Highway, TR Zeliang, has assured giving his best to accomplish in whatever little he could and also continue with his mission and vision to develop all the areas in which the district is lagging behind.
Speaking at the thanksgiving and felicitation programme organized at his private residence in Jalukie town on Thursday, Zeliang has assured to give his best stating that as an elected leader, people have many expectations from him, an update from deputy CMO stated.
“But at the end of the day, I am only human and will not be able to please each and every individual desires,” Zeliang said.
Zeliang has thanked God for enabling him to come back with a landslide victory. He also thanked the people who had worked and helped him win the election from behind the scene saying ‘We have fought a good fight.’ Besides, he also thanked the servants of God and well-wishers who had prayed sincerely for a peaceful and successful conduct of the recently held election.
While citing instances of bloodshed in some constituencies, he expressed gratitude that 7 Peren constituency did not face any incidents of violence.
‘This I believe is only through the prayer support of many people,’ he stated.
Zeliang also thanked his media team and the various media houses, who he said ‘were more than willing to travel with his entourage in the campaign rallies and reported from the ground.
Zeliang also thanked the NDPP functionaries led by the party region president and 7 Peren AC and all their executives and frontal units of the constituency like the youth and women wing for their tireless efforts to represent the people.
The programme also witnessed songs and choreography by artistes like Matu and team, Vivi, Ntu male voice and Bamyile.
