ZCCI organises public awareness campaign on Covid-19

Dimapur, May 5 (EMN): The Zunheboto Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ZCCI) on Tuesday organised a public awareness campaign on Covid-19 preventive measures at the last traffic point, below SBI bazar; 1st Traffic Point Project colony and petrol pump south point east.

Addressing the rally, ZCCI Advisor Dr. Bohovi Chophi said ‘Covid-19 was something we never heard earlier and that it exist in other parts of the world, but in just some span of time it has reached our own kitchen,’ an update from media affairs stated.

Reminding of the havoc the disease has brought to humankind, he requested the public to be cautious. He also emphasised on mandatory use of face mask, maintaining personal hygiene and social distancing as preventive measures.

President ZCCI Kikheto Muru urged the shopkeepers to sale the commodities as per the MRP and the wholesalers to follow the price fixed by the organisation. He cautioned that stringent actions shall be taken against the defaulters.

He also reminded the citizens about the directives and guidelines issued by the government and urged them to strictly follow accordingly.

He further requested the gathering to uphold the frontline workers in prayers as they have been and will be fighting against the pandemic risking their lives.

The ZCCI also distributed masks to the public.
