Zakiesato’s clan imposes restriction on his widow

Dimapur, Jan. 23 (EMN): The Hiekhanomia clan of Khonoma village has issued a statement restricting Sivivono, widow of the late Kevi Zakiesato who was found dead under mysterious circumstances outside his office at Zakiesato colony in Dimapur on Dec. 18 2018, from making any transaction with the property belonging to the family pending police investigation into the case. The statement came after four persons, who happen to be the victim’s wife and three daughters, after were arrested by the police on suspicion of murdering the former Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) leader and then released on bail on Jan. 7. The Hiekhanomia clan, to which Zakiesato belong, said that it has been compelled to make its stand public following the brutal murder of one its members and the subsequent arrest and release of the suspects. The clan said in a statement that it has passed three resolutions: 1) to co-operate with the police investigation team to get justice at the earliest; 2) not to allow Sivivono to enter or take shelter at Zakiesato’s residence; and 3) not to allow Sivivono to deal with any property-related matters till the case is brought to a reasonable conclusion. “Anybody making any transaction or dealings with Sivivono regarding property of late Zakiesato shall be doing so at their own risk,” warned the statement.
