Youths sacrifice sleep to help road repair in Dimapur

Dimapur, July 17: Members of Kuda Youth Club (KYC) have been relentlessly helping in manning and diverting traffic while road repair works take place from evening till the early morning on the stretch from Nagarjan Junction till the Dhansiri Bridge at Kuda ‘B’ Khel, a source who wished not to be named informed Eastern Mirror.

“The boys of KYC divert traffic every night and help with the road construction at Nagarjan from 7 pm till the early morning hours,” said the source, adding that drunk drivers are a menace at times.

The source also informed that painting of road will be done on Thursday.

The stretch of Nagarjan road from its junction till 3rd mile on the highway is about 8 km, where half of the stretch has been restored and the other half has completed phase one. A source informed that phase two will begin after proper drainage and expansion of road is done from Nagarjan Junction till the bridge.
