Khamo appreciated the Angami Public Organisation and the AYO for their contribution to the society and hoped that they would continue to strive and work for the common good of the Nagas. Khamo challenged the youth to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship saying that ‘only lazy people stay poor.’ Stating that Nagaland has excess employment in the government sector and that the trend is not sustainable, he emphasised on the importance of quality education, skilled labour, and skill development. He exhorted the youths to pursue those qualities. “Make these qualities your identity,” he said. Commendations were given to members of the Khriekesa Pelikro or community first responders, who were trained by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority and the department of Civil Defence and Home Guards, for their work and dedication in times of emergencies.
