Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): Kiphire district-level youth parliament debate and quiz was conducted at Loyola Higher Secondary School, Kiphire, on September 24, which was participated by students of Government Higher Secondary School, Kiphire, and Loyola Higher Secondary School, Kiphire.
The programme began with the invocation by Rev. Fr. Dr. Mariadhas, principal of Loyola Higher Secondary School, while the words of welcome was pronounced by Fr. Vekupa George, vice principal of Loyola Higher Secondary School, who is also the district coordinator.

Students of Class XII debated on the topic “Lack of governance is responsible for the slow growth and development in Nagaland,” while students of Class XI competed in the quiz based on their syllabus such as ‘Modern Indian History,’ ‘Indian Constitution/ Parliamentary System,’ ‘GK on Nagaland,’ ‘visual round on eminent personalities of Nagaland.’

Limongse was the teacher in-charge for the debate while Asa Francis was the quiz master, Vekupa Rhakho George stated in an update.

Sulila was selected as the best debater for the motion and Chumliba was chosen as the best debater against the motion. Meanwhile, Alemzi, Ajongba and Linkhiangshe were chosen by the jury for the state-level completion in quiz.
