Dimapur, Nov. 17 (EMN): Four youth associations in Mokokchung town comprising Penli Ward Youth Association, Majakong Ward Youth Association, Lijaba Lijen Ward Youth Association, and Artang Ward Youth Association have sought the intervention of the Nagaland chief minister towards maintenance of the road leading to Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) in Mokokchung town.
In a representation to the Nagaland chief minister, the four youth organisations have sought an amount of INR 1.7 crore for maintenance of IMDH road as announced by him during the 12th session of the 13th NLA on September 22.
Qouting media reports, it stated that the work would start as and when the working season arrives.
Having learned from the Urban Development department in Mokokchung that the sanctioned amount has not been released as of date, it stated that the road repairing work has not started. It mentioned that the existing road condition was in deplorable state causing much inconveniences to the commuters, the sick and the public in general.
In the light of the above stated circumstances, the organisations have requested the chief minister to sanctioned amount at the earliest.
