Dimapur, Aug. 21 (EMN): Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Dimapur, in collaboration with Altrura Society (AuS) organised a “Youth interaction programme” at Tenyiphe village council hall on August 19 with Madhavi Agarwal, NYKS BOG member, as the chief guest.
In her speech, the chief guest lauded Altrura Society for organising such event and stressed upon the youth for active participation in social contribution. Besides highlighting on the national flagship programmes, skill training programmes and other issues/ concerns of youth and local communities, she urged upon the youth clubs to contact NYK office and seek more information in availing various schemes/ programmes under NYKS.
Earlier, Phyobemo Lotha, UNV-DYC NYK, Dimapur, in his introductory speech, shared on the main objective of the programme. He stated that the programme was organised with an aim to develop leadership qualities among the youth to enable them contribute in the nation building process.
The programme was chaired by president of Altrura Society Mhasileto Medoze, while Altrura Society’s journey with NYK was shared by its advisor Visakuolie Medom. Songs were presented by Native Youth Club Sovima and Youth Welfare Club Dimapur, while dance and beat box were presented by Lamung and friends, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Jaser Meru, former advisor of Altrura Society and youth wing general secretary of NPP Nagaland.
Altrura Society president, Mhasileto Medoze and the general secretary Zakiesielie Chüsi, stated that that a total of 85 persons including NYK members and officials attended the programme.
