Kohima, June 13 (EMN): Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports Zale Neikha on June 13 distributed a set each of projector, screen, inverter with battery and Tata Sky DTH set to seven villages in order to enable the local fans to watch the FIFA World Cup 2018 live, starting from June 14.
Youth organisations of the seven villages- Sakhabama, Kezo Town, Kezo Basa, Kezoma, Kidima, Khuzama and Viswema under the 15th Southern Angami –11 AC received the said items at a distribution function held in Viswema village panchayat hall.
The legislator said that he was contributing the facility from his own side and hoped that the villagers would witness the World Cup 2018 along with the rest of the world and also learn football skills.Meanwhile, Neikha informed that the State Level Committee for Commemoration of the 100th Birth Anniversary of legendary Naga footballer Dr. T Ao has decided to telecast World Cup 2018 opening ceremony, semi-final matches and the final live on giant screens at Kohima (Khuochiezie Ground), Dimapur (MDSC Badminton Stadium), Mokokchung (Imkongmeren Sports Complex) and Mon (Town Hall). Necessary arrangements are being carried out in this regard, he said.
Before live-streaming of the World Cup 2018 opening ceremony, a brief programme will take place at 6 pm on June 14, highlighting the life sketch of Dr. T. Ao through documentary film, it was informed.
