YMCA undertakes relief outreach programme

Dimapur, July 2 (EMN): Young Men Christian Association (YMCA), Dimapur division, undertook relief outreach programme at Zukiye village and distributed food items to the needy families on July 1. The event was carried out under the project ‘Heal the World’ of Y’s men and YMCA India.

An update from YMCA Dimapur stated that its president, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, along with office bearers visited Zukiye village and distributed essential commodities such as rice, lentils, oil, vegetables, hygiene essentials like soap etc to 30 widows and 20 BPL homes. Besides, the team also served home-made food to a total of 150 plus homeless people at Dimapur railway station. Meanwhile, YMCA has encouraged everyone to help one another in every possible way during this time of hardships. It further hoped to start a chain of selfless service and in turn help inspire others to do the same.
