Dimapur, June 29 (EMN): Considering the hardship experienced by all public due to the pandemic situation, advisor of Technical Education and Elections, Medo Yhokha, has encouraged the officers and staff to reorient themselves to be role models in different capacities, be it in social or community circles to keep everyone safe.

Reminding that the pandemic should not be an excuse to neglect their duties, Yhokha urged them to take up the roles and responsibilities in any circumstances to fulfil the expectations and to reach out to the people, especially to rural areas by maintaining appropriate Covid-19 behaviour during this challenging situation, a DIPR report stated.

He stated this while addressing the meeting of the Kohima district planning and development board (DPDB) held on June 29 in its conference hall. Yhokha has expressed gratitude to the state government for endorsing him to take up the responsibility and serve the people under the platform of the district planning and development board.

He further expressed solidarity with those affected by the pandemic.

During the meeting, the board recommended North East Taekwondos Union and the Nagaland International Research Centre Societies for registration. It also approved for grant-in-aid to three private schools for the session of 2021-2022

The house also discussed 50% of staff and officers to perform and function the offices by following all the SOPs and guidelines.
