Kohima, July 18 (EMN): Advisor of Tourism, Arts and Culture, H Khehovi Yepthomi on Saturday handed over 20,000 packets of Mimi noodles to the BJP Nagaland Mahila Morcha for distribution to needy children.
During a brief handing-over programme held at his residence in Kohima, Yepthomi said the noodles were donated by the owner of CG Foods India Private Ltd., Varun Choudhary, for free distribution among the needy children in Nagaland during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The advisor has appreciated Choudhury and company for donating the noodles during this difficult and trying time.
“We really appreciate their generosity towards our children; it truly means a lot,” he said.
He also thanked the company on behalf of the state BJP president and minister Temjen Imna Along and party workers.
President of BJP Nagaland Mahila Morcha, Phangnon Konyak, who received the noodles, said that the same would be handed over to the respective district mahila presidents, including the organisational districts for distribution to the needy children. She conveyed that besides the needy children, the mahila morcha would also hand over the noodles to various orphanages.
The vice president of BJP Nagaland Mahila Morcha, Veselu Swuro, Phek District Mahila Morcha president Vesatolu and BJP state ST Morcha general secretary Lovi Swu were also present during the brief programme.
