Dimapur, July 17 (EMN): The commencement programme for Year of Construction Workers 2017 for Mon district was held on July 17 at ITI, Mon.
Deputy Commissioner, Mon W. Honje Konyak said that Mon district has enough man power but the only thing needed is skill upgradation. He appreciated the nodal department for giving skill training which will be of great benefit for the trainees.
Honje added that if the district labour have skills then it will be sufficient for self employment and urged the trainers to give detailed training and impart skills and knowledge to the trainees.
Joint Director & Convenor Monitoring & Evaluation YOCW, Lotum said that the training will be for self employment and to have a proper knowledge on construction.
Chairman Zynorique Initiative, Kohima, Richard Belho said that the training will cover 15 topics within six days on construction and related matters and participants will be given Assistant Mason Certificate after completion of the training.
The programme was chaired by Principal, ITI, Mon Er. H.Alongse. The training is being organised by Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurs, Government of Nagaland.
