Y Mankhao Konyak inaugurates health and wellness centre in Mon district
MLA Y Mankhao Konyak on Monday inaugurated a Health & Wellness Centre-Sub Centre (HWC-SC) under Ayushman Bharat at Totok Chingha, Mon district.
DIMAPUR — MLA Y Mankhao Konyak on Monday inaugurated a Health & Wellness Centre-Sub Centre (HWC-SC) under Ayushman Bharat at Totok Chingha, Mon district.
The HWC-SC will serve two villages, Totok Chingha and Totok Omlen, with a total population of around 1900 people.
Speaking on the occasion, Konyak thanked the government of Nagaland and the medical department for their hard work and dedication in bringing health services to the doorstep of the community.
According to a press release, he stated that the village now bears responsibility for the smooth operation of the facility, and he requested that the community take ownership of the centre’s infrastructure and human resources. He also pledged his full support and cooperation with regard to Totok Chingha HWC-SC.
In her address, CMO Mon Dr. Vezokholu Theyo explained the background, the process of the proposal, and the approval of the HWC-SC. She thanked Konyak for the support throughout the project and lauded the contribution of the Health and Family Welfare Department, headed by Minister Paiwang Konyak.
She explained HWC-SC’s objectives and goals. She emphasised that the purpose of the centre is to provide preventive, promotive, palliative, and curative care, which is known as comprehensive primary care. She also informed the attendees about the services offered at the centre so that the villagers are well informed about the available facilities. The HWC-SC Totok Chingha will be headed by community health officer Yingngam Konyak and ANM Hanah Solo.
