Dimapur, April 20 (EMN): Xiaomi on Wednesday launched the entry-level Redmi 10A smartphone in India. The device is aimed at the sub-10K budget smartphone segment and it will be the cheapest option from the company's Redmi series of android devices.

The Redmi 10A is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 chipset paired with either 3GB RAM/32GB storage or 4GB/64GB storage options.

The device features a 6.53-inch 1600x720 IPS LCD panel with a peak brightness of 400 nits. It also comes with a massive 5000mAh battery, however, the Redmi 10A does not support fast-charging. You only get a standard 10W charger in the box.

Disappointingly, the device comes with a single 13MP f2.2 rear main camera and there is a 5MP camera on the front of the device for selfie duties. The single main camera is a huge let down, however, even at this price range.

In terms of connectivity, the Redmi 10A has features like 4G LTE, 2.4G Wi-Fi 802.11n, and Bluetooth 5.0.

The Redmi 10A is priced at INR 8499 for the 3GB/32GB storage variant and INR 9499 for the 4GB/64GB model. The device goes on sale on April 26 and users can choose between three colour options: Charcoal Black, Sea Blue, and Slate Gray.
