Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12X debuts in China
Dimapur, Dec. 29 (EMN): As 2021 comes to an end, Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has finally revealed its flagship Xiaomi 12 series of smartphones in China.
After months of leaks and rumours, Xiaomi’s new flagship devices are finally here and comes in three different variants: Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12X.
Xiaomi 12
The Xiaomi 12 features a smaller 6.28-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also has an under-display fingerprint scanner for security and Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus for protection.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 12 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and features a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The device comes with a triple-camera setup including a 50MP Sony IMX 766 primary sensor, a 13MP ultrawide snapper and a 50mm equivalent 5MP tele-macro lens. For selfies, the device comes with a 32MP snapper on the front.
The Xiaomi 12 comes in three storage options including an 8GB RAM and 128GB model, an 8GB RAM and 256GB model and a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model.
Xiaomi 12 Pro
The Xiaomi 12 Pro features a slightly bigger 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
The Pro model boasts a triple-camera setup including a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens. It also has a 32MP snapper on the front for selfie duties.
The device is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and features a 4,600 mAh battery split into two cells that charge at 120W via cable and up to 50W wirelessly.
The Pro model comes in three storage variants including an 8/128GB model, a 8/256GB model and a 12/256GB model.
Xiaomi 12X
The Xiaomi 12X comes with the same 6.28-inch 120Hz AMOLED display like the Xiaomi 12. It has the same 50MP triple-camera setup like the Xiaomi 12 and a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
The difference comes in the SoC, where the Xioami 12X uses the older Snapdragon 870 chipset unlike its other two siblings. It also has no support for wireless charging or reverse wireless charging.
The device comes in two storage options including an 8/128GB variant and a 12GB/256GB model.
The Xioami 12 series of devices will be available from December 31 in China, however, the company has yet to announce the price and launch in the Indian market.
