WSH appreciates Assam Rifles

DIMAPUR — The Western Sümi Hoho (WSH) has appreciated the exceptional support and dedicated efforts of the 6 Sector Assam Rifles under the command of Brigadier Shiva Kant Shukla and the two units namely 43rd Assam Rifles and 7th Assam Rifles under the leadership of Colonel Ullas Badoni and Colonel Vikrant Gupta.

“Your commitment to various noble activities in the western Sumi areas ranging from youth empowerment and development to cultural preservation and encouragement has made a remarkable impact on our community. The initiatives taken by your personnel in areas such as women empowerment and skill development, school upgradation and infrastructure development, civil society development and sports development and encouragement have truly uplifted the lives of our people and fostered a sense of progress and harmony within our society,” an update from WSH stated on Sunday.

While appreciating the selfless services rendered by the Assam Rifles in bringing about positive changes, it stated that the unwavering dedication to maintaining peace and harmony in the region has not gone unnoticed.

It looked forward to continuing collaboration for the betterment of the community.

Meanwhile, the hoho has congratulated Major General Vikas Lakhera on his promotion to Lieutenant General saying the achievement was a testament to his exemplary leadership, dedication to service and unwavering commitment to upholding the values of the nation.

It further looked forward to strengthening partnership for the collective welfare of the community.
