DIMAPUR — Cadets and staff of 25 Naga Battalion NCC celebrated the 75th anniversary of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) on Monday in Mokokchung.

The event started with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Mokokchung War Memorial to pay respects to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation. This was followed by the flag hoisting and the NCC song.

During the event, Colonel CST Swamy, Commanding Officer of 25 Naga Battalion NCC, addressed the gathering, which included NCC cadets, associate NCC officers, and staff. He spoke about the history and development of the NCC in India and urged the cadets to commit themselves to the nation’s betterment and to always adhere to the motto ‘Unity and Discipline’.

He encouraged the cadets to participate in the upcoming Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) at St. Joseph University, Chümoukedima, scheduled from January 4 to January 13.
