World Music Day: Ambush enthrals Kohima’s crowd
As part of the World Music Day (WMD) celebrations, various artists came together to perform at The Heritage in Kohima on June 21.
Altogether 12 artists performed at the fourth WMD in Kohima. Ambush from Assam, who won the second runners-up title at the Hornbill International Music Festival 2018, performed as guest band .
The fourth WMD featured artists including Papersky, Lords of Rock, UDX, Purple Fusion, Ambush, Divine Connection, Virie, Lui Tzudir, Seyievinuo Chüzho, Joshua Shohe feat Zubeni Kikon, Annie’s Ok, and the Paradigm Shift.
Advisor to Chief Minister of Nagaland Abu Metha who spoke at the concert said that music has no language and that it transcends all hurdles. He was of the view that Nagas have some of the best musicians in the world.
Artist Mengu Suokhrie; Fbb Colors Femina Miss India Nagaland 2018, Ruopfüzhano Whiso; and Yanpvuo Kikon hosted the concert.
The event was initiated by the Symphony Academy of Music and Musicians Guild.
Concert partners were The Heritage and Imprint while Symphony Café, Go-Getters, Kros College, Kohima, Alder College, Bentosh, Synergy Group enterprise, Alder Retreat, Unitex Poweline, Dream Café were the sponsors and partners of the event.
