Along with the rest of the world, the TPO, TASU, KNSK, Project Axshya CHAI and DAPCU jointly observed the World AIDS Day at Badminton Stadium, Tizit Town on the theme “Getting to Zero-focus, partner, achieve – an AIDS-free- generation”.
P.Yannai K, Vice President, Konyak Union, Tizit Area, who graced the occasion as the guest speaker, acknowledged the NGOs and the healthcare providers for their selfless contribution towards prevention and control of HIV epidemic in the society. He further stated that they have a concern for HIV issues and assured to extend cooperation to work for the cause.The programme began with a welcome note address by Chongying Yinglunghu, Director, TPO. Longyim Tzudir, DPO, DAPCU, Mon shared on the theme of the World AIDS Day 2014.
Besides testimonial sharing and short speeches from TASU, KNSK, TPO, other special items were presented by Konyak Baptist Church Tizit Town, Jongvang Taekwondo Club, Tizit, TVCB Youth Department and Homely Care Hostel, Street Hunters.
The programme was chaired by Yaloi while B.Mantah Vangsu, Programme Manager, TI, TPO thanked the NSACS and all the participants for supporting the event.
The Mobile ICTC and PHC Tizit staff conducted voluntary HIV testing and IEC materials were also distributed to the participants at the venue.
