Workshop teaches quality for bamboo production

DIPR Dimapur, February 12 The Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce (FCCI) recently collaborated with the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) and the Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency for a workshop about quality control in the production sector of the bamboo and cane industry in the north eastern region. A workshop on Quality Management Standards and Quality Technology Tools was conducted at the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre in Dimapur on February 11. The event was a part of the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Program under the ministry of small and medium enterprises. The objectives of the workshop was to enable manufacturing sectors to be competitive by maintaining quality management standards and quality technology tools relevant in helping medium and small enterprises engaged in bamboo and cane in the North Eastern Region of the country. The resource person for the workshop was Dipanjon Konwar, visiting faculty to the department Of Management of Guwahati University. The workshop was attended by entrepreneurs and representatives from various related departments.
