DIMAPUR — Longleng District Health Society (DHS) organised a one-day district-level workshop on surveillance for vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) in the conference hall of the chief medical officer (CMO), Longleng, on Wednesday.
An update from the CMO stated that Dr. Tiasunep, CMO of Longleng, delivered the welcome address and encouraged the participants to actively participate in the workshop, while Dr. Sheila Longkumer, SMO, WHO, made a presentation on PPT.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The topics that were discussed during the workshop included state and district update on VPD surveillance, global and national update on polio eradication, road map towards MR elimination in India, state and district update on MR elimination, review of MR drive, RI performance, RMP issues and challenges, AFP surveillance, DPT surveillance and MR surveillance.
It was followed with a discussion on developing system towards a sensitive surveillance system in remote areas.
The participants were MO, DCM, DPO CD-2, epidemiologist, CHO, DIO, BPM and BAC.
