DIMAPUR — North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR), Chümoukedima, conducted a comprehensive workshop on interview skills and resume writing for Social Work trainees, at NEISSR hall, Chümoukedima, on Saturday.

Dr. Kekhrietshunuo Kire, a trainer and mentor was the resource person of the workshop, an update stated.

The workshop commenced with the participants introducing themselves, setting the stage for evaluations on non-verbal communication like gestures, eye contact and confidence.

The resource person emphasised the importance of active listening in professional environment and encouraged trainees to improve this skill. She also highlighted the importance of maintaining a positive attitude and to capatalise the opportunities presented by the institute.

Participants also engaged in identifying their individual strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, during the SWOT analysis segment.

Kire guided the participants in setting clear goals and improving their abilities for continuous self-improvement and skill enhancement. The interactive session witnessed trainees sharing personal experiences and insights, praising the positive attributes of the institute.

The resource person later introduced the ‘3Es’ principle – striving for excellence, consistently excelling, and actively exploring future opportunities.

Pointing out that knowledge is a continuous pursuit, she further urged the trainees to embrace challenges and discomfort to excel in their careers.

The vote of thanks was delivered by James Phanungkiu, president of SCSC NEISSR.
