Workshop on basic disaster management underway in Kohima

DIMAPUR — A two-day workshop on ‘Basic disaster management and disaster data,’ organised by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department, in collaboration with the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, got underway in Kohima on Thursday.

In the inaugural programme, Assistant Manager of NSDMA, Joniibemo Odyuo, gave the welcome address, Director of Economics and Statistics, Neidilhou Keditsu, delivered the keynote address; and Addl. Director of Economics and Statistics, Charles N Kikon, proposed the vote of thanks, an update stated.

Topics to be covered during the two-day workshop include guidelines on disaster data collection, gender statistics in disaster management, disaster situation reports, etc.
