In continuation of the ongoing Measles Surveillance, office of the Chief Medical Officer, Kohima, has conducted a workshop for all Medical Officers of Kohima district on April 25 in the CMO’s conference hall.
The primary purpose of the measles workshop was for establishment and maintenance of a surveillance system to ensure timely notification of all measles cases and confirmation of outbreaks serologically through WHO – accredited laboratory. The resource persons for the workshop were Dr. M Kire (SIO), Dr. Avile Zao, DPO (UIP-RCH), Dr. I Temsu Longchar, DPO (UIP-RCH) Tuensang, Dr. Sheila Longkumer, SMO (WHO) and Dr. Kevisevolie Sekhose, Epidemiologist SSU (IDSP).
