Women’s U-23 One Day Trophy: Nagaland beat Meghalaya by 68 runs

Dimapur, Feb. 3 (EMN): Nagaland beat Meghalaya by 68 runs in the Women’s U-23 One Day Trophy at Ravenshaw University ground 1 in Cuttack on Monday, Feb. 3, according to an update by the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA).

Meghalaya after winning the toss sent in Nagaland to bat first.

Nagaland could score only 201 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs.

Tulika was the main contributor for Nagaland with 41 runs while Munia and Ayantika chipped in 29 runs each.

For Meghalaya, Deiphi and Sandria took two wickets apiece while Riti chipped in with one wicket.

In reply, Meghalaya were all out for 133 runs in 42.1 overs

L Tamang scored 58 runs while Hajong scored 16 runs.

For Nagaland, Sariba was the wrecker in chief with three wickets while Trishna took two wickets.

Merensola, Ananya, and Ayantika took one wicket each.

Result: Nagaland beat Meghalaya by 68 runs. 

After five matches, Nagaland stands at the top of the 10 team Plate group with five more matches to go.
