Women trained on paper-bag making

Dimapur, May 30 (EMN): Can Youth has conducted training on making paper-bags for women of Sovima, Purana Bazaar, Darogajan, Padampukhuri and Chekiye villages at Chumoukedima town council hall on May 28. The training programme was organised by Can Youth in collaboration with the EAC Chumoukedima and sponsored by the Dimapur district administration. Can Youth had earlier conducted similar training at Medziphema, Niuland, and Dhansiripar. The training on paper-bag making in all the sub-divisions under Dimapur district was an effort of the district administration to promote the paper-bags and making aware to reduce the single-use plastic. The next training and community sensitisation on harmful effects of plastic would be held in Kuhuboto on May 30.
