DIMAPUR, APRIL 17
THE body of a half clothed 19 year old woman was found outside a building adjacent to the Blue Hill station on Golaghat road in the heart of Dimapur.
The incident occurred on April 16 close to midnight. The deceased identified as Tsamongsu is the wife of Yanpeng of Akhegwo village.Her exposed body have led police to suspect rape but this fact has not been confirmed as the post mortem reports are awaited.
Talking to Eastern Mirror, president Pochury Hoho Dimapur District (PHDD) and Sub Division Police Officer (SDPO) Dimapur say the motive behind the death is yet to be established. However, allegations of an extra marital affair is also being inquired as the motive to the murder. To this end the husband of the victim for the last two years, has been detained for questioning at the East Police station Dimapur.
Dimapur Pochury organizations condemns
Pochury Hoho Dimapur District (PHDD), Pochury Women Hoho Dimapur District (PWHDD) and Pochury Students’ Union Dimapur (PSUD) have strongly condemned incident. In a release the organizations have appealed to the law enforcing authority to immediately investigate the case and book the culprit at the earliest.
The organizations also convey their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved members of the family.
