Wokha, July 4 (EMN): A team of State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) has been deployed for search and rescue operation at Doyang River in Wokha on receiving information that a woman had reportedly drowned just below the reservoir on July 2.
It was informed that the SDRF team of Home Guard and Civil Defence, Wokha, had to call off the search operation on the first day (July 2) due to problems with the motorboat.
Meanwhile, an NDRF team comprising 20 personnel reached Wokha on July 3 evening and search operation started on Saturday morning. However, it was informed that the woman was still missing at the time of filing this story.
The search operation was called off at 6 pm on Saturday.
It was informed that the NDRF team had to be sent off as they were exhausted and that there was no alternative plan yet for resumption of search on Sunday.
