Wokha youths to stage concert for health centre
Dimapur, July 29 (EMN): A youth group in Wokha town will be mobilising funds for a once fabled health center in Wokha, the Christian Medical Centre at Vankhosung near Wokha town.
The health institute was once privately run by the Lotha Baptist Church Association. It was one among the most respected hospitals in and around the area where people from all walks of life even from far of places like Tuensang, Zunheboto and Mon received medical treatment, Team Metamorphosis stated in a press release that was issued on Monday to the media.
“It was called a centre of excellence for the poor and needy people as it was treated at minimal or no cost at all,” the press release stated.
The youth organisation said to “at least donate something” to the institution by mobilising funds through a free will concert that will be performed on August 15 in Wokha.
‘But the sad story behind was that something somewhere it got deserted and neglected for a very long time reason best known to those who were involved in managing the hospital.’
Members of Team Metamorphosis are said to have visited the health center.
“Now as a starter, Team Metamorphosis along with Diversity Band had come up with some venture to at least donate something to this institution by way of organizing a free will concert on 15th of August 2019 at GHSS auditorium,” the press release stated.
“May be the free will contribution came out from this charity concert won’t be of much help but we are optimist that at least we can be the lead role and with that something good could come out of this little gesture and help in whatever capacity we can,” the organisation stated.
“Wokha people please come to the concert and be a co-sponsors to our cause. Your little contribution can make a big difference. Let’s us be an agent of change.”
