Wokha, Aug. 2 (EMN): State Bank of India (SBI) and ATM booths in Wokha continue to remain crowded despite awareness and enforcement of social distancing by bank security and staff at the bank gate and booth.
SBI Chief Manager Wokha main branch, Makuni informed Eastern Mirror that due to ignorance, the public refrain from following SOPs, despite efforts taken to restrain large crowds at their facilities. He also informed that due to some technical and private agencies handling the ATM booth, four SBI ATM booths were informed to be in a state of ‘freeze’ in the town, which was also one reason that attracted large crowds in two ATM booths at SBI main branch and one ATM facility at NST, Bazaar branch.
He said that due to the pandemic, technical issues could not be resolved on time, wherein he informed that all problems will be resolved later when the situation comes to normalcy.
Further, Makuni requested the public of Wokha town to follow the government standing order by following SOP guidelines.
