Dimapur, July 18 (EMN): Keeping in view the rise of Covid-19 cases in the district, Wokha district task force (DTF) for Covid-19 has decided to intensify random sample testing and vaccination. The decision to this effect was taken during its meeting on July 16.
A DIPR report stated that random sample testing would be conducted at Wokha town, Vankhosung Mission compound, Wokha village and Longsa village to assess and take steps to stop further spreading in the community and business establishments.
It added that a consultative meeting was held with the village council chairmen of Longsa and Wokha villages, representatives from Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA) Vankhosung, president of Wokha District Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and DTF members to work out mechanism for smooth conduct of Covid-19 testing and vaccination.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of SDO (C), Wokha, Chonpenthung Ezung. During the meeting, the chairman appealed to all the public to extend support and cooperation while conducting random testing and vaccination drives. He exuded confidence of achieving success in combating the pandemic with coordinated efforts.
