Wokha DTF conducts review meeting on Covid-19

Dimapur, May 24 (EMN): Wokha district task force (DTF) for Covid-19 on Monday reviewed matters relating to handling of Covid dead bodies, wherein the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Orenthung Lotha requested the chief medical officer to constitute a committee for disposal of Covid-related death.

The meeting was chaired by and Chairman DTF, Wokha and held at DC’s conference hall in Wokha town, a DIPR update informed. 

For transportation, the DC informed that ADC and administrator, Wokha Town Council had already made the arrangement, which can be used on payment of the existing prescribed rate.

The meeting also discussed feasibility of involving private hospitals/clinics and nursing homes for reserving 50% beds for Covid patients, counselling by private practitioners and conducting of Covid sample testing in consultation with higher authority. It was also decided to continue with the random Covid testing in the District.

CMO informed that since the District Hospital was converted to Covid Care Centre, while  Christian Medical Centre (CMC) was designated to treat regular patients. The DC also appealed to all the public to be aware of the procedure and follow the laid down guidelines, SOPs and necessary protocols for everyone’s safety.
