The monthly meeting of Wokha District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held on February 9 in the DC’s conference hall, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB, A Robin Lotha.
Two new members were introduced during the meeting namely the Project Director of DRDA, Thungdeno Mozhui, and the District Horticulture Officer.
The proposal put up by Lotha Hoho on non-functioning of government schools in Wokha district was deferred to the next meeting.
The following agendas were reviewed during the meeting with regard to memorandum submitted by Lotha Hoho during 2015.
With regard to maintenance and non-functioning of high mast light, the board requested the Project Director of DRDA to initiate enquiry and submit the same in the next meeting. Concerned officer of the Wokha Town Council was also directed to submit detail report about their activities.
Delay in commissioning of Radio Transmission Station in Wokha was also discussed and the board requested DPRO Wokha to submit the status report for further deliberation.
Meanwhile, the chairman has thanked all departments and individuals for the cooperation in making the Republic Day celebration a success. Power point presentation was also presented by the District Education Officer (DEO) on the department’s activities.
