Dimapur, Oct 24 (EMN): The Wokha district authorities have sealed a house in NST colony for reasons understood to be a case of Covid-19 being found in the household.
An update from the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) on Saturday stated that the measure was to “to prevent the spread of Covid-19.”
‘In exercise of the power conferred under section 30 (1), (2) of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and in order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the deputy commissioner and chairman of District Task Force for Covid-19 Wokha, Orenthung Lotha, hereby order the sealing of house no.108 at NST colony, Wokha, with immediate effect till further order,’ the IPR stated.
‘Any person violating these containment measures will be liable to be prosecuted as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, beside legal action under Section 188 of the IPC,’ the IPR stated.
