- DIMAPUR — Wokha
secured a convincing 5-wicket victory against Tseminyu in a low-scoring affair
at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, as part of the 5th Late G Rio
Memorial Men’s U-19 Inter-District Cricket Tournament.
- A press release informed that Tseminyu, opting to bat first,
struggled against Wokha's disciplined bowling attack and were bundled out for a
mere 77 runs in 31.5 overs.
- Ayub (16) and Sonyelo Kent (15) offered brief resistance,
but Krishna Kumar of Wokha proved too hot to handle, claiming 4 wickets for
just 17 runs in his 10 overs and earning himself the Player of the Match award.

- In response, Wokha chased down the target in 22.2 overs,
finishing at 79/5. Liren M Jungio (17 not out) and Shahil Uddin Laskar (17)
provided the stability needed to secure the win, despite a spirited bowling
effort from Tseminyu’s Sokelo Semp (3/22).

- Meanwhile, the match
between Kohima and Mokokchung, scheduled to take place at the Sovima Cricket
Ground, was abandoned. Organisers have assured that further updates regarding
the fixture will be provided in due course.
