Wokha bids farewell to outgoing DC

Outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, along with government officials and other members from civil society during the farewell programme on October 23 in Wokha.


Dimapur, Oct. 24 (EMN):
A farewell programme in honour of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, was held on October 23 at Town Hall, Wokha.

Delivering his farewell address, Dr. Manazir thanked all head of offices, subordinate administrative officers, NGOs and staff for the support and co-operation extended to him during his short stay, a DIPR report stated. He also said three elections were conducted smoothly and two national awards under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao were received during his one year and eleven months stay in Wokha. He has accredited the achievements to the co-operation from all the public.

The outgoing DC also appealed all to extend the same support to the new DC to enable Wokha district further achieve more and earn good name.

Incoming Deputy Commissioner, Orenthung Lotha, assured to provide good governance and transparency in the working system and sought the co-operation of all head of offices, civil societies and hohos.

ADC headquarters, ADC Bhandari, DB, staff, members from Lotha Hoho and officers, who spoke during the farewell function, have appreciated Dr. Manazir for all the good works he had done for the district and making Wokha one of the best performing district.
