DIMAPUR — The Lotha civil society organisations (CSOs) and the Joint Action Committee (JAC) have unlocked the offices of the Wokha Deputy Commissioner and the SDO (National Highway), a day after the organisations suspended its bandh along the NH-2.

The decision to unlock the offices was taken after a thorough deliberation at an emergency meeting held at Lotha Hoho building on Wednesday morning.

However, the offices may be locked again and the bandh resumed, if the NH-2 construction works are not initiated by February 17 in accordance with the directive of the Chief Engineer, National Highways, Nagaland, to the contractor, TTC Infra India Pvt. Ltd., cautioned the organisations.

It may be mentioned that the CSOs resorted to locking government offices and shut commercial

establishments as well as vehicular in the district on February 10, two days after initiating an indefinite bandh to protest the failure of the contractor in resuming road construction work along the NH-2.
