Dimapur, Feb. 6: While delivering a scathing judgement on the leadership qualities of chief minister TR Zeliang, the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) has urged the four Chakhesang legislators to withdraw their support to the chief minister.

In a press statement issued on Monday, the CPO described Zeliang as the “most unreliable, dishonest and flip-flop leader” of all the chief ministers that Nagaland has had. “The killing, the damage of properties and the communication gap created between the public and the government would have been averted had CM in particular has little sense of respect for people of the state.
“His greed, his arrogance and lack of statesmanship is responsible for all the mass built up. TR Zeliang, has announced in the media including national media that the whole ULB election process are declared null and void and yet we are doubtful as he is capable of retracting his own statement. He is (sic) proved to have the habit of saying one thing and doing another thing,” the statement read.

As such, it has asked the four Chakhesang elected members to withdraw support to Zeliang, “whose leadership and integrity are being challenged by one and all.” The CPO has also directed the Chakhesang Mother Association to withdraw support to NMA in view of the latter’s stand on ULB elections.
