DIMAPUR — Wishes poured in from political circles for Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio, as he turned 73 on Saturday.
Several political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah took to X (formerly Twitter) to extend birthday wishes for the veteran politician, who has served as the chief minister of Nagaland for the fifth term.
“Best wishes to the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri Neiphiu Rio Ji on his birthday. He has always worked for the development of Nagaland. May he lead a long and healthy life,” wrote Modi.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also conveyed birthday greetings. “He has dedicated his life in serving his people. Today, under his visionary leadership, our beautiful sister State of Nagaland is undergoing transformative and progressive changes,” he wrote.
Several state ministers and legislators, including Dy CMs TR Zeliang and Y Patton, Jacob Zhimomi, Temjen Imna Along, Salhoutuonuo Kruse and Hekani Jakhalu also conveyed birthday wishes to the CM.
